F*ck man, this is a f*ckin’ great beer! I mean, ya’ can’t complain abou’ th’ price, ya’ can’t complain abou’ th’ ragin’ amount o’ alcohol, and if you can find someth’n else ta f*ck’n complain abou’, then f*ck you!
This beer takes nothing from nobody. It is what it is and if you don’t like it, go drink a Coors Light. I loved everything about this one. Very little carbonation, very dark and smooth, and just a great experience all around. The flavors for me were caramel but without being sweet, the burnt but not bitter notes everyone comes to love in a good Scotch/Irish beer, with a little bit of alcohol burn and bitterness at the end. I was particularly impressed by how this beer manages to be weighty but not heavy. It’s definitely a darker, thicker beer, but it feels like drinking something much lighter, and with much less alcohol.
As I sat here drinking through this delicious offering, I found myself thinking that I could drink a few of these in one sitting without feeling overwhelmed or over full – it’s just that enjoyable! Its muted tones don’t ever hit you over the head with one particular flavor profile, and I think that’s the beauty here. It’s an easy drinking, sit around and tell overblown bullshit stories kind of beer that can be enjoyed for a long time. If you don’t like that, f*ck off.
